WELCOME  TO  THE  APARTMENT

Below is a summary of amenities in the private 800 sq ft apartment, which is fully furnished and includes all essentials needed for comfortable living. For photos and more information, select an option from the APARTMENT menu above.
  • STYLE and ENTRY: the apartment is new and modern with south-facing windows that let in lots of sunlight. The private and well-lit entrance to the apartment is down the stairs on the left side of the house.  A Welcome Booklet and maps provide information on local attractions and resources.
  • BEDROOMS: 2 bedrooms with comfortable sleeping for five people. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a twin bed and a double bed that folds up into a futon couch. Each bedroom has a full-size closet and small bureau for clothing storage. Perfect for families!
  • BATHROOM: Full bathroom with large vanity, tub, shower, toilet, and washer and dryer. Stocked with plush towels, hair dryer, basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc.), laundry soap, and ironing board,
  • KITCHEN: Full kitchen with quartz counters and stainless appliances, including gas range and oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee-maker, electric water kettle, blender, toaster, rice maker, and all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you need for home-cooked meals.
  • LIVING ROOM: cozy living room with gas fireplace, lounging couch, rocking chair, and understated yet tasteful art.
  • WIFI AND TV: includes fast WiFi, cable TV with movie channels, DVD player with small library of DVDs, Xbox 360 with small library of games.
  • FAMILY FRIENDLY: includes booster seat, pack-n-play crib, room-darkening shades, small library of children's books, stair/doorway gate, and outlet covers. The hosts are kid-friendly and can recommend local experienced baby-sitters.
  • LOCATION: free street parking right in front of house, quiet residential neighborhood that is a few blocks from  commercial area with grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bakery, pubs, exercise studios, and more. A few minutes drive to Lake Washington beaches, bike trails, city parks, hospitals, and University of Washington. Easy access to city center via bus and light rail. 
  • GARDEN: guests have access to the private yard and garden that has a large patio with table and chairs and overlooks a beautifully landscaped garden with vegetable beds, fruit trees and shrubs, and bubbling fountain.
  • HEATING: gas fireplace quickly heats the living room and kitchen. Bedrooms and bathroom have energy efficient radiant heating panels for custom per-room heating.
  • COOLING: there is no air-conditioning in the apartment as it's not needed. Seattle rarely gets so hot as to require A/C, plus the apartment is on the ground floor and stays quite cool in the summer. There are portable fans in the closets.
  • RULES: No pets (except service animals); no smoking inside the apartment; no smoke or vapor of any kind inside the apartment; check-in after 4 PM; check-out by 12 PM; get host's permission for extra overnight guests.
